The retreat exceeded our expectations! This was the first time in a long time that we had 100% participation from the group. This speaks volumes to the level of expertise in facilitation.
As CEO of the Convalescent Aid Society, with a richly diverse staff and the clients we serve, I believe the lessons from California’s anti-harassment required training are key to our success. Several years ago, we gave up on the online training, and retained Diana to conduct the sessions live. We enjoy her style, which is interactive, engaging, and grounds the work in the law and history. We added Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training this year, which reinforced the need to respect our differences and to treat others with dignity and understanding. Her training encourages participation, which helps staff engage with the learning and retain the information.

As Chair of Pasadena Media, the nonprofit organization that facilitates, produces and promotes public service television, I recognized the need for an updated strategic plan. Diana Peterson-More facilitated the process, which included board members, staff, and other stakeholders. She did a really good job! Really outstanding newsletter! I’ve already reposted your lead story (on opinions masquerading as facts). This topic should be required in a college unit that nearly every freshman should take. People miss the point that the quality of their leadership is often judged by how well they communicate.

Wow, this book arrived on Sunday and I am already almost done with it. I bought and loved the first book by this author, and whole-heartedly recommend this book. I am in a field where communication is extremely important both as a legal professional out in the world, but also as a manager at my law firm.
Diana Peterson-More writes in such a direct, easy to understand and helpful way. The reality that I can put these tools to work immediately is most helpful. Some of the highlights of this book are the focus on saying things we later come to regret and how to manage that, strategic and tactical communication, conflict management, making assumptions about others, and the importance of word choice.
I would recommend this book to anyone because effective communication is a necessary tool in life, but especially those who manage others and/or rely upon effectively communication as an essential part of their work.
